By virtue of the authority vested in me by Title III of the First War Powers Act, 1941 (50 U.S.C. App., Sup., 616 et seq.), as amended, by the Trading with the Enemy Act of October 6, 1917 (50 U.S.C. App., 1 et seq.), as amended, and as President of the United States, it is hereby ordered as follows: The Alien Property Custodian is designated as the officer to administer the powers and authority conferred upon the President by section 20 of the Trading with the Enemy Act, as amended by Public Law 322, 79th Congress, approved March 8, 1946, and by section 22 of the said act, as added by the said Public Law 322. The Alien Property Custodian may delegate to officers and employees of the Office of Alien Property Custodian such functions as he may deem necessary to carry out the provisions of this order.
