By virtue of the authority vested in me as President of the United States, and as Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, it is ordered as follows: There is hereby established the Women's Army Corps Service Medal, which shall include suitable appurtenances. Such medal may be awarded, under such regulations as the Secretary of War may prescribe, to members of the Women's Army Corps for honorable service performed by them in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps.
