By virtue of the authority vested in me by the act of January 28, 1915, 38 Stat. 800 (U.S.C., title 14, sec. 1), the United States Coast Guard Ship Redwing is hereby transferred from the service and jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Treasury to the service and jurisdiction of the Secretary of the Navy, to operate as a part of the Navy and subject to the control thereof during the unlimited national emergency proclaimed by me on May 27, 1941.
