By virtue of and pursuant to the authority vested in me by paragraph Eighth, subdivision SECOND, section 2 of the Civil Service Act (22 Stat. 403, 404), it is ordered that Subdivision XIX of Schedule A of the Civil Service Rules be, and it is hereby, amended by the addition of the following paragraph: 14. Food and Drug Administration: Professional, technical, or scientific specialists when employed intermittently for short periods, not to exceed a total of 60 days in any one year, as members of the Standards Committee for duty in connection with the formulation of definitions and standards of identity and quality for food products, or as consultants upon problems in their specialized fields having to do with enforcement of the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
