Simon Flexner, director of the laboratories of the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, New York City. Lewis R. Jones, professor emeritus of plant pathology, University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin. Frank R. Lillie, Andrew MacLeish distinguished service professor of zoology and embryology, and dean of the division of the biological sciences, University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois. Milton J. Rosenau, professor of epidemiology, Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, Massachusetts. Thomas Parran, State commissioner of health of New York, Albany, New York.
