Schedule B of the civil service rules, listing positions which may be filled upon noncompetitive examination, is hereby amended by the addition of a new subdivision and paragraph, as follows: X. NAVY DEPARTMENT 1. Such positions of a professional, scientific, technical, or supervisory nature under the Naval Establishment in the Philippine Islands, as may be agreed upon by the Secretary of the Navy and the Civil Service Commission. This order is jointly recommended by the Navy Department and the Civil Service Commission. HERBERT HOOVER The White House, August 8, 1929.
