By virtue of the authority vested in me by section 703 (a) of the Defense Production Act of 1950, as amended (50 U.S.C. App. 2153 (a)), and as President of the United States, it is ordered as follows: SECTION 1. The compensation for the position of Director, Bureau of Domestic Commerce, Department of Commerce (formerly designated as Administrator, Business and Defense Services Administration, Department of Commerce) is hereby fixed at the rate now or hereafter prescribed by law for level V of the Executive Schedule (5 U.S.C. 5316). SEC. 2. The compensation for the position of Deputy Director, Bureau of Domestic Commerce; Department of Commerce, is hereby fixed at the highest rate now or hereafter prescribed by law for grade 18 of the General Schedule (5 U.S.C. 5332). SEC. 3. The letter of the President to the Secretary of Commerce, dated November 5, 1962, relating to the salary of the Administrator, Business and Defense Services Administration, Department of Commerce, is hereby superseded.
